Our third event after the amazing turnout over the last 2 events, created for every Saab owner. We have chosen Newark Air Museum for our third year due to the superb facilities and scenery to create this amazing opportunity for everyone across the UK and beyond. Set in the heart of Nottinghamshire, we have got a venue as central as was possible. Our cars will be parked around the museum grounds. With over 100 Aircraft and 3 Saabs, we have created an opportunity rarely open to the public.
We have over 150 cars already confirmed, Trade stands by NoobTune and our proud sponsors Suffolk Saab. This years auction is on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support, so get those hands up for some great Saab related goodies. A small Auto Jumble and a fantastic commissioned vehicle artist are also now confirmed. There is a Saab Draken and Viggen cockpit experiences, run by the museum allowing close up access to the aircraft (£1 donation to the museum staff). Plus prizes for best in show etc.
To add a new dynamic, this year we also have Facebook based events for convoys to the Venue, meeting up at Thurrock, Peterborough, Leicester Forest East (Northbound) and Blyth Services areas. along with adding Humber bridge and Norfolk to the existing four too now. Details are at SaabsUnitedGb's Facebook page or click here for the event, where all the convoys are listed in the discussions tab.
Entry costs will be £10.50 per Car, based on 2 adults means it's almost half price for museum entry per person, making it our cheapest but biggest event to date. Further pricing is available when booking your tickets. You may also wish to have a photo by the Aircraft, which will be marshalled on a first come basis on the day with SaabsUnitedGB staff.
Newark Air Museum, offers a café that serves both hot and cold food, on a limited menu, as well as this, the venue was primarily chosen because it offers so much for the family. With toilet blocks, first aid, play area, café and various museum buildings. Complete with a gift shop, there is plenty to see and do along with some great cars and new people to meet.
With so much to see and do at this unique venue, you will definitely be wanting to return to explore more. Our event is family and dog friendly, with great access for the less able, catering for all.
The venue itself is situated just off the A1/A46/A17 junction at Newark (Satnav NG24 2NY), and is one of the largest volunteer managed aviation museums in Great Britain.
This event was designed to be a cheap and fun day out for all the family,
