So, we are now two major events down on our 2023 calendar. In March we had the honour of hosting Hedin Parts and Logistics first ever open day at their warehouse facility in the UK. With a fully booked day and a lot of superb cars and owners attending to purchase some on the day only sale items and grab that all important merchandise we all desire.

Next on the calenar we have just had the National event at Nwark Air Museum, our own Wing and Wheels event. The day started out with 6 different convoys meeting up around the country, Enthusiasts were able to experience their drive to the main venue with other Saab Owners. Merging at the gate around 1030 at the Air Museum. already creating a unique start to such a great day. With over 100 Airframes and 3 of which being Saabs, their cockpits open to us to view, there was plenty to see and do.

We was absolutely humbled by the response. The cars attending came from far and wide, including Glasgow, Swansea, Dover and even two guys from the outskirts of Paris. We couldn't believe how far you guys came, what an effort. Thank you. With such variety. With 2 Sonett III's, a few 96's, all the way through to some stunning NG9-5's. Noob Tune attended for a third time, along with The Saab Clinics first attendance, making a few more owners smile on the way home. We even had a bodywork specialist on hand for advice with his stunning Escort Mexico Rally car. Sadly the 900 they are working on wasn't quite ready to display on the day.

Us, the organisers could not have done this without our close friends and family, some of which do not even own a Saab. We had 2 volunteer photographers from the Lancaholics group along with our in house photography team, SM Photography and Sublimation. All of whom gave up their time for our passion, for that we are grateful. With only 4 volunteer Marshalls guiding the cars to their parking slot, they made light work getting all 170+ cars in place promptly, without them, it would have been chaos. Finally, thank you to Saabs Unleashed, who was wandering around taking some epic videos for a future upload on his channel.

The comments and posts on facebook that came after the day are phenomenal. This event could only have happened with your support, we are so grateful to all who attended, it was out utmost pleasure to host this event for so many who share our passion.

We are looking forward to planning the next event for us all to enjoy, although in order to grow. We need more help. If you would like to volunteer to help with marshalling or photography on the day contact us at events@saabsunitedgb.co.uk

Local Meets

While our team works tirelessly in the background to prepare next years national event. Our local affiliates still continue to host their meets on a regular basis. Although local, these are still great opportunities to meet likeminded people in a more close-knit manner. Kent Saabs, Herts & Essex and East Anglia Saabs always welcome new and old friends alike, and always aim to cater for families and dogs too. Saabs United GB strive to grow with local groups to expand the area covered, so if yourself or anyone you know would like to help us host local meets, we would love to hear from you.
